Amid the preparations for the ETH 2.0 update and the development of the DeFi market, Ethereum has the highest developer activity in the past seven months.

That is stated in the report of the Santiment team. The researchers drew attention to the activation of the creators of services based on Ethereum, publishing their developments on the GitHub portal. Roughly the same trend was observed in February 2020.

Ethereum continues to lead the blockchain ranking in terms of the number of decentralized applications (DApps) deployed. Besides, the launch date for the ETH 2.0 update is approaching, designed to significantly increase network bandwidth.

Earlier it became known that most likely developers can release an updated version of the blockchain in November this year and not in 2021, as planned.

The DeFi decentralized finance market deployed on Ethereum is expanding rapidly. According to Pantera Capital CEO Dan Morehead, over the next five years, DeFi may even surpass Bitcoin in capitalization.

Developers are continually improving DeFi projects, as evidenced by their record high activity on the GitHub portal, analysts say.
