LINE is probably one of the most used messengers in Japan and now it finally got a business license for issuing its crypto exchange in the country.
This means LINE is going to have a cryptocurrency exchange in the place which has more than 80 million engaged users in a month. As to the company’s information, this new project is going to be named BitBox.
LVC Corporation, which supervises LINE’s blockchain and digital asset systems, got permission on September 6 from Japan’s Financial Services Agency. And as it was further reported, Takeshi Dezawa, head of LINE, published finished FSA listing to the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
In August LINE announced that it aims to create a “token economy” throughout its LINK Chain. It is going to contribute 2 tokens - LINE Point only for Japanese users and LINK for the rest.
