The philosopher and author of the cult work “Black Swan” Nassim Taleb during a small skirmish on Twitter called the vast majority of bitcoin maximalists “total idiots”.
1) I explain in #SkinintheGame scale transformations: Bitcoin is a good idea but almost all bitcoiners are total idiots, can't get nuances beyond fortune cookies.— Nassim Nicholas Taleb (@nntaleb) June 21, 2020
2) My idea is (fractal) State is needed ONLY for systemic tail risks, not messing w/daily life. Same as medicines. https://t.co/xHBJb341Ux
The famous bitcoin evangelist and CEO of the BHB Network, Giacomo Zucco, has challenged Taleb’s claims that bureaucrats and politicians are imposing centralized global governance as an optimal strategy for managing systematic tail risks without risking their own skin.
In response, Nassim noted that bitcoin is a good idea, but most of his ardent supporters are complete idiots. He added that their understanding of the nuances of cryptocurrency does not go beyond fortune cookies.
Recall that he recently announced the closure of his account on the American bitcoin exchange Coinbase due to the lack of proper service.
