At the WEF in Davos, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse called the initial public offering (IPO) the company's “natural evolution.”
So, he said that in the next year, in the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry, it will be possible to observe an IPO boom and did not exclude its Ripple.
“We are not going to be the first, and we are not going to be the last, but I expect that we will be on the side of the leaders,” Garlinghouse added.
Some are confident that an IPO could significantly affect the price of an XRP coin.
If xrp community understood what this meant they would be stricken with joy right now. IPO means institutional investors putting money in Ripple and betting on Ripple's value as a company -> what is the most valuable asset that Ripple has? Yeap, this will be a huge deal for XRP.— edilson1492 (@edilson1492) January 23, 2020
Besides, Garlinghouse said that it considers bitcoin as a means of saving, but not a payment instrument.
“You don’t want to pay with Bitcoin at Starbucks because, by the time you get your coffee, it will be frozen,” Ripple's CEO emphasized.
Earlier, Garlinghouse said that most cryptocurrencies will disappear, and only quality assets will remain.
